“Google Page Creator is a website creation and hosting service by Google. It is a useful tool for basic website design, requiring no HTML knowledge. During development, it was codenamed Trogdor, a reference to the popular Homestar Runner website. As of August 2008, Googlepages had over 3 million users according to Google’s own index. In September 2008, Google announced that it is not accepting new sign-ups to Page Creator, instead encouraging users to use Google Sites.

The features of Google Page Creator include:

• 100 Megabytes of file and page storage, with a 10MB limit on file uploads, maximum of 500 files per site
• 41 web templates, which can be applied to individual pages
• 4 page layouts
• Limited HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, and JavaScript editing
• Ability to upload independently created HTML files, which greatly mitigates the limitations above, at least for pages other than the Home page
• Autosave – edits are automatically saved at regular intervals
• Unique subdomain for each user’s site, such as http://username.googlepages.com
• Three unique subdomains can be registered per new user (changed from 4 to 3 subdomains in 2006)
• No advertisements placed by Google, but users can add their own advertisements”

2006년도에 베타버전이 나왔다. 고로 이미 나온지 한참된 서비스이다. 

구글사례 발표를 하게되었다. 구글이 제공하는 서비스 기술을 알기 위해 구글의 모든 서비스를 이용해보려 했다. 그러나 실로 대단한 양의 서비스를 제공받고 있음을 알게 되었고(특별히 모든게 무료라니!) 여태까지 이러한 서비스를 알지도 못하고 사용도 못했던 어리석은 네티즌이었다는 사실이 부끄럽다.

google page creator 방식인 HTML. 확실히 HTML 방식이 나에게 더 익숙하기는 하다. 과거 ‘세이클럽’이 유행할 때에는 세이클럽의 모임방(정확한 명칭은 기억나지 않는다.)을 꾸미기 위해서는 HTML방식을 사용했기 때문이다. 너무 오래되어 잘 사용할 수 있을지 모르겠다.

일단 계정은 만들어 놓은 상태이다. google page creator에 가입하기전에 먼저 google site에 가입을 하여야 한다.
